Northrop Grumman is seeking Global Supply Chain Specialists for an internship opportunity. This position will be a remote/virtual position within our Corporate Sector.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Global Supply Chain organization. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment that encompasses a variety of functional areas.
As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations that may include:
Roles and Responsibilities
Sources and procures goods and services from a variety of suppliers
Issues Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives supplier responses, analyzing proposed pricing, terms, schedule, etc. from potential suppliers
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
Issues purchase orders
Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
Will complete a project and present to GSC leadership at the completion of the program
Some interns may be assigned to other functional teams within the Global Supply Chain organization (Technology & Data, Compliance, Supplier Performance & Relationship Management, or Supplier Diversity)
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2025 .
Be majoring in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field or a related field. Only candidates who have the listed degree/major will meet this requirement.
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025.
Have US citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Majoring in Supply Chain with relevant coursework in Supply Chain, Operations and Project Management
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Good presentation and writing/communication skills .
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment .
Intern Pay Range:
Bachelor’s: $20.50 to $25 per hour
Master’s: $30 to $31.50 per hour
